About Me

If you had told me a few years ago that I would be the owner and operator of my own bakery, I would have laughed at the thought. What was once a day dream in my parents kitchen, soon became my reality as I embarked on this crazy adventure. 

 

Being self taught, no pastry school background and having limited commercial bakery experience, the idea of running my own business seemed a little out of my realm. That wasn’t until I was selected to be one of the first ever businesses to partake in the 2020 season of the Batavia Boardwalk Shops (a small business incubator program located in Batavia, IL.) 

 

2020, the year of so much uncertainty. The year the whole world was turned upside down. The year that really solidified which direction my business would go. With the love and support from friends, family and the community, I was able to learn and grow more than ever expected. 

 

July 31st, 2021, Haylie B’s Bakery grew into its very own storefront located in Downtown Batavia. Specializing in custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies and bar desserts, Haylie B’s provides small batch, made from scratch treats for all occasions.
